Maggie Grace and Ryan Kwanten will star in Category 5, Foresight Unlimited’s action movie being directed by Rob Cohen.
Ralph Ineson (The Huntsman: Winter’s War), Randy Couture (The Expendables), Melissa Bolona (Dog Eat Dog) and Jamie Andrew Cutler (Kick-Ass 2) also have joined the roll call, which already includes Toby Kebbell (who stars in the upcoming Ben-Hur).
According to Foresight, Category 5 “follows a team of tech hackers embarking on a $600 million robbery from a coastal U.S. Mint facility the same time a disastrous Category 5 storm is set to strike.
“The remaining people left in the deserted beach town are a meteorologist (Kebbel), a treasury agent (Grace) and the meteorologist’s ex-Marine brother (Kwanten). Together they must not only survive the storm, but also stop the mastermind thieves, headed by Ineson, from accomplishing the heist of the century.”
Cohen, Scott Windhauser, Jeff Dixon, Anthony Fingleton and Carlos Davis wrote the script.
Damiano Tucci, Danny Roth, Karen Baldwin, Howard Baldwin, Michael Tadross Jr. and Cohen are producing.
Grace is best known for playing Liam Neeson’s daughter in the Taken movies. She is repped by UTA and Zero Gravity Management.
Kwanten was one of the stars of HBO’s True Blood. He is repped by CAA, LINK Entertainment, The Artists Partnership and RGM Artists.
True Blood may be long over, disappointing final season and all, but some parts of the show still linger. Yes, of course we’re talking about the sex.
During a recent interview on an Australian talk show promoting The Legend of Tarzan, the king of the jungle and former vampire Alexander Skarsgård was asked which one of his Australian costars was the better kisser – Tarzan’s Margot Robbie as Jane, or True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten.
For those that don’t remember, Jason (Kwanten) had drank some of Eric’s (Skarsgård) blood which not only gives rapid healing properties, but also acts as an aphrodisiac and sex-dream inducing agent.
“I’ve got to say, Ryan Kwanten is a surprisingly good kisser,” Skarsgård said. “He’s very tender. You wouldn’t’ think it because he’s kind of a tough guy.”
When one of the show’s hosts jokingly said Skarsgård should write it into his contracts that he can only kiss Australians from now on, Skarsgård replied, “or only Ryan Kwanten.”
